Common Questions
Do you issue service reports with inspection check-off lists?
Yes, each lifeboat or davit inspected will be inspected per the International Maritime Organization’s “Measures to Prevent Accidents with Lifeboats” (MSC.1/Circ.1206).
Each piece of equipment, upon satisfactory inspection, will be issued an Annual Inspection or Five-Year Inspection Certificate, as the case may be.
Do you have the equipment & men to weight test Lifeboats & Davits?
Yes, we own a complete set if water weights and the associated support equipment to safely weight test lifeboats at 1.1 times their rated load capacity.
Have your service personnel attended any industry-approved offshore training course?
Yes, all of our Service Engineers have attended training courses at many of the original equipment manufacturer’s facilities.
Does your company have a Quality Control Manual?
Our Service Engineers perform to the requirements of our published 30-page Quality Control Manual for The Inspection & Repairs of Lifeboats, Davits & Associated Equipment which covers all aspects of the inspection process.
