A. We have a Fabrication Shop, Machining Shop, Hydraulic Shop and
an Insulation Shop.
Q. What kind of
repairs do you do?
A. Everything. If it is on a ship and
it breaks. We can repair it.
Q. Do you work exclusively
on ships?
A. No. We work at Power Plants, Marine
Terminals, Hospitals, etc.
Q. Are your welders certified?
A. All our welders are certified. We have certifications for ABS,
Lloyd's Register, and Germanischer Lloyd.
Q. Can your welders
use a wire feed welding machine?
A. Our welders are trained in MIG, TIG,
Wire Feed, Brazing, stainless steel Heli
Arc, Aluminum Heli Arc, CuNi Heli Arc
and general stick welding.
Q. One of my container cranes broke down
can you handle such large parts?
A1. Our Lathe machine can handle up to
42” (107 cm) diameter and 16 feet
(488 cm) long.
A2. Our vertical boring mill can handle
up to 62’ (158 cm) diameter
A3. Our horizontal boring mill can handle
pieces up to 6 feet.
Q. Can you machine
on our ship?
A. We have several portable machines:
I. Portable boring rig
II. Portable Grinding Rig
For example: We have line bored container
crane wheel in place, we machined Anchor
winch brake drums, etc.
Q. My ship is docking
in San Diego. Can you help?
A. Yes, we service any ship anywhere on
the West Coast of the USA.
Q. The repair will
take longer than the stay in port.
A. No problem we can send a riding crew
until the repair is done.
Q. My repair is
extremely critical, why should I give
the job to you?
A1. We have been in business for over
55 years. Most of our mechanics and supervisors
have worked on ships their whole lives.
A2. The local surveyors of the classification
bureaus know our capability and can confirm
our excellent reputation.
A3. We have never delayed the E.T.D. of
a ship

for spare parts for my cargo pump. Can
you supply the part?
A. Yes, let us know what you need and we will get it over to you
ASAP.
Q. Do you have Union employees?
A. All of our employees are a members of the International Association
of Machinists, AFL-CIO.
